A Long Tradition...
The hotel itself has a long tradition behind it. The inn has been run by the same family since 1930. The first record on the hotel books was made in 1865, when guests came to enjoy the medicinal advantages of the property. |  | |
|  | In 1930, Karl Bauer purchased the hotel and it was a popular summer hotel for many years. The spectacular views from the hotel offer your choice of the Catskill Mountains or the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusets. The famous Original German Alps Festival originated on the beautiful grounds of Bavarian Manor in 1973 and 1974, where over 100,000 came in each of those years. | |

Today, the Bauer Family still welcomes guests through their doors. The original hotel has been renovated into a Country Inn serving as a Bed N' Breakfast. Stan Oldakowski's reputation for fine food has enabled the family the opportunity of opening a German Restaurant. The kitchen is approved by the world-renowned Culinary Institute of America as an extern teaching kitchen for German cuisine. While the menu is German, there is an interesting variety of specials every weekend such as 'Escargot in Champagne Butter, Grilled Salmon, and Prime Ribs of Beef. | |

When you walk through the front doors you instantly sense a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The cocktail lounge is more like a cozy living room with a fireplace, big screen television, easy chairs and a coffee table with chess and checkers nearby. All of the 19 rooms at the inn have private baths, color television, fireplaces, jacuzzis and air-conditioning. With it's 100 acres of woods and a 6 acre lake there is a peaceful sense of country on the spacious grounds. |  |

| The restaurant is cheerfully decorated in traditional Bavarian
cuckoo clocks and beer steins. On occasion there is live music with dancing on the dance floor.

Recently, the Inn hosted a Psychics Fair, a Murder Mystery Dinner, a 50's Dance Night, German
Schlachtfest Dinners and a Wild Game Dinner complete with Antelope and Alligator. If you have a bus group interested in coming for a day trip to the Catskill Mountains, Bavarian Manor Country Inn is truly special. Booking is easy, parking is uncomplicated, the staff is warm and welcoming.
